The Kurdistan Independence Movement (Eastern Kurdistan / Rojhelat) proudly announces its participation in the First Kurdish-Jewish Congress, to be held on Sunday, 7 September 2025 in Berlin, Germany.
This historic congress, jointly organized by the WerteInitiative – Jewish-German Positions and the Kurdish Community in Germany (KGD), will bring together Kurdish and Jewish representatives from politics, academia, civil society, and the media. The event aims to address shared challenges such as antisemitism, anti-Kurdish sentiment, and the growing influence of Islamist and nationalist ideologies from Turkey, Iran, and parts of the Arab world.
The Kurdistan Independence Movement views this congress as a significant step towards fostering dialogue, strengthening alliances, and promoting shared democratic values between the Kurdish and Jewish peoples. Our participation reflects a commitment to solidarity, mutual understanding, and joint action for a free and democratic future.
