A Delegation from the Kurdistan Independence Party Participated in the EIPA Conference Under the Title “Iran’s Shadow War in Britain and Europe”

On Wednesday, 30 Banemarr 2726 Kurdish calendar, “20 May 2026,” in the city of London, an official delegation from the Kurdistan Independence Party participated in the conference of the Europe-Israel Press Association – EIPA – under the title “Iran’s Shadow War in Britain and Europe.” The conference was held in cooperation with CAMERA UK.

At this meeting, which was held with the participation of a significant group of British and Israeli politicians, as well as a notable section of important British media and newspapers, the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in destabilising the region, the threats against the Jewish community, the foreign activities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the need to place it on the terrorist list were discussed and examined.

Ashtyako Poorkarim, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Independence Party, and Goran Dashti, member of the Political Bureau of the Party, attended the meeting as the official delegation of the Kurdistan Independence Party. On the sidelines of this session, the Party delegation held several important meetings and discussions with media, political, and analytical figures close to Israeli circles and supporters of confronting the threats of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

One of the most important discussions of this meeting was the meeting and exchange of views with Alex Grinberg, Iran expert at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, JISS.

Grinberg, who was the main speaker of this conference, spoke about the situation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran’s regional threats, the possible role of Tehran in attacks and threats against Jews in Britain, the British government’s view toward Iran, the issue of placing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the terrorist list, and Iran’s level of preparedness in the event of the war restarting.

The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Independence Party, in a meeting with Alex Grinberg, emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not only an internal threat to the oppressed nations within the artificial geography of Iran, but also a direct threat to the security of the region, Israel, Britain, America, and the democratic world.

Mr. Ashtyako, by referring to the role of the Revolutionary Guards, the Quds Force, and the Basij in suppressing the people and exporting crises outside the country, called on Britain and all democratic countries to recognize the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij as terrorist entities and place them on the terrorist list.

Mr. Poorkarim also emphasized that the issue of Iran will not be solved merely by changing the regime in Tehran; rather, it is necessary to recognize the right to self-determination of the nations with occupied homelands, including the Kurds, Baloch, Ahwazi Arabs, Azerbaijani Turks, Caspians, Turkmen, and others.

He also pointed out that a free and independent Kurdistan can be a natural partner of Israel, Britain, America, and the democratic world in confronting terrorism, extremism, and regional instability.

The Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Independence Party, in part of his speech, emphasized that the relationship between Kurdistan and Israel should not be seen merely as tactical or temporary, but rather that it has a historical, human, and strategic dimension. Both the Kurdish and Jewish peoples have faced denial, existential threats, displacement, ideological hostility, and attempts to remove them from the political map of the region, and today they also stand before a common enemy and common strategic interests.

On the sidelines of the same meeting, the delegation of the Kurdistan Independence Party spoke with Jonny Gould, a well-known media personality in Britain, who has worked for media outlets such as Sky News, BBC World Service, talkSPORT, GB News, and several others.

In this meeting with Jonny Gould, Mr. Ashtyako Poorkarim spoke about the situation of East Kurdistan under Iranian occupation, the suppression of the Kurdish nation, the role of the Revolutionary Guards in militarising Kurdistan, and the need for British media and political circles to pay attention to the Kurdish question. In this meeting, it was emphasized that the threat of the Islamic Republic is not directed only at Israel or the Jewish community; rather, the same authority that threatens Israel also suppresses Kurdistan, Balochistan, Ahwaz, and other oppressed peoples.

At the same time, Ms. Liat Kordowineh, representing the Jewish Kurdish Network, was present at the meeting, and discussions were held between her and the delegation of the Kurdistan Independence Party regarding the historical relations between Kurds and Jews, the need to strengthen political, media, and civil cooperation, and the importance of solidarity between the Kurdish and Jewish peoples.

The presence of the Kurdistan Independence Party delegation at this meeting took place at a time when the issue of the threats of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Britain and Europe, the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps outside Iran, and the need for serious confrontation with Iran’s proxy forces have become more than ever a focus of attention in British political and media circles.

At the end of the meetings, the delegation of the Kurdistan Independence Party emphasized the continuation of dialogue and cooperation with media, political, and civil institutions supporting Israel and the Jews, as well as democratic movements in Britain, and called for the Kurdish question and the right to self-determination of the Kurdish nation, alongside the issue of confronting the Islamic Republic and the Revolutionary Guards, to be viewed as an inseparable part of the future of security and stability in the Middle East.
