Ashtyako Poorkarim, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Independence Party (PSK), has sent an official message of congratulations to The Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP on his election as Leader of the Labour Party and his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In his message, Mr. Poorkarim extended his sincere congratulations and wished the new Prime Minister every success in leading the United Kingdom. He highlighted the importance of democratic governance, the rule of law, social justice, and constructive international cooperation in addressing today’s global challenges.
The message also expressed the hope that the new British Government will continue to uphold the universal principles of democracy, human rights, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, while maintaining constructive engagement with the legitimate aspirations of the Kurdish people, including their right to determine their political future through democratic and peaceful means.
Mr. Poorkarim further reaffirmed the Kurdistan Independence Party’s readiness to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with the Government of the United Kingdom on issues of shared democratic values, regional stability, human rights, and the promotion of lasting peace in the Middle East.
