The conclusion of World Wars I and II without resolving the political and geographical issues of several stateless nations in the Middle East, along with the ongoing conflicts between the two major global powers, will push the world towards World War III.

Over the past 23 years, the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, the Arab Spring in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and finally Syria, have marked the beginning of new wars and tensions in the Middle East. The flames of these conflicts were ignited and expanded on October 7, 2023, with the covert involvement and supervision of Iran through terrorist groups nurtured by this regime.

Will Iran continue its proxy war beyond its artificial borders, or will it directly engage in the conflict between Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others?

The nurturing and exportation of terrorism in the region and the world, as well as the creation of a front called the “Axis of Resistance,” with direct formation and support from Iran, has pushed the Iranian regime into an indirect war against Israel, the United States, Europe, and certain Arab countries.

The establishment of the Axis of Resistance by Iran to create a “Shiite Crescent” composed of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and other groups in Iraq, groups like Hamas in Palestine, the Houthis in Yemen, and some organizations in Asia and Africa, in addition to heightening global fears of Iranian international terrorism, has caused Iran to soon be targeted as the source of terrorism and the head of the snake, making it the focal point of the significant changes that are expected to occur in the political map of the Middle East.

The end of Iran’s hegemony in the region, which has begun with attacks on Iran-backed terrorist organizations and the cutting off of the regime’s wings, marks the start of a phase aimed at ending the occupation, aggression, and medieval rule of Iran. This includes the assassination of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and the appointment of Masoud Pezeshkian as the new president, as well as the simultaneous killing of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran’s most secure state. All of these events are intertwined and complement the same equation that is set to drag Iran into a war that will bring an end to its regime.

With the downfall of the Iranian regime, Iraq and Syria will be weakened, and the Kurds in eastern, southern, and western Kurdistan will become one of the main characters in the political equations of the region.

The fall of the Iranian regime could be a historic and significant opportunity for the complete liberation of all four parts of Kurdistan. The Kurdish political parties and movements must swiftly take steps to play a positive role in favor of Kurdish national interests and turn World War III in the Middle East into an important opportunity for the independence and establishment of a Kurdish state. The Middle Eastern war, “World War III,” will play a decisive role in the new map of the Middle East and the Kurdish issue, as well as the fate of other nations whose lands are occupied.

The outcome of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Syria led to federalism in Southern Kurdistan and autonomy in Western Kurdistan, and the ultimate conclusion of this war will be decisive for the Kurdish nation.
