Ashtyako PoorKarim, leader of the Kurdistan independence movement:
“The sparks of the Third World War have been ignited in the Middle East.
Just as the results of the First and Second World Wars led to the formation of several countries, in the Third World War, a number of stateless nations will also establish their independent countries.
The goal of Israel’s war is not just Iran’s proxies; the aim is to reshape the map of the Middle East.
Where do the Kurds stand in this equation?
In the two maps presented by Netanyahu at the UN, he referred to two regions as ‘zones of blessing and hatred.
‘ On this map, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and a few other countries are placed in the black zone of hatred, at the heart of the conflict, where three parts of Kurdistan are located.
We Kurds, along with other oppressed nations in the Middle East, will have a significant role in this equation, provided we are prepared for these critical and decisive conditions.
This war will be decisive for resolving the Kurdish issue and will ultimately benefit the Kurds.
However, we must organize ourselves and be ready for the changes occurring in the Middle East.
The killing of Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, and most recently Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, all signal the start of an all-out war against terror and terrorism in the Middle East.
The ultimate target of this war is not only Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran’s resistance axis, but also Iran, Iraq, Syria, and several other countries in the region.
The independence and establishment of countries for stateless nations and occupied lands is closer than ever.”
